David John Masud
David
John Masud earned his Master of the Laws degree in Labor Law at Georgetown University
Law Center following graduation from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where his
legal studies focused on labor and employment law. David also holds a Public
Administration undergraduate degree from Ferris State University.
David has authored published articles on several labor and employment topics.
He has been a featured speaker at numerous seminars and in-house training sessions,
and has taught collective bargaining and labor arbitration at Thomas M. Cooley
Law School as an adjunct professor. David has served as a member of the Board
of Directors of the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce and Saginaw Soap Box
Derby, in addition to his active membership in several other professional and
civic organizations.
David along with his legal assistant, Sherri Gnatkowski, founded the law firm
in 1986. He has extensive experience in collective bargaining, arbitration and
grievance resolution, as well as in employment law compliance matters. David
has successfully represented employers in overturning unconstitutional and burdensome
state labor laws in both the federal district court and the federal Sixth Circuit
Court of Appeals. He is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts
for the State of Michigan, including the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, the
District of Columbia and United States Supreme Court.
